508x : Country Homes, Rawang.

I'm finally back home from my one week camp. As I told you guys, the camp started on last Sunday (19th December 2010) and ended on the next Saturday (25th December 2010). I didn't expect the camp will be this memorable. I love every part of it. And believe it or not, I actually enjoyed bathing with cold water there. In 4am in the morning! It was so cold but I don't mind at all.

19th December 2010.
I'm ready!
I woke up at approximately 9am in the morning and the next thing I know, I was rushing my mind off to get ready for the registration which will end at 10.30am. I locked my bag, put all 'nyummy' food in my storage backpack, said my last goodbye to my room and I was off to Rawang. In the car, I felt nervous. I kept thinking how I won't fit in at the camp. But I was wrong. When I arrived there at about 10.25am, my mum and dad quickly queued for the registration. Boyyyy the line was long. And we thought we're the only ones who's late. After the registration, mum, dad and I went searching for my dorm room. After helping me chose my bed, mum and dad went home. I was all alone on my bed, doing nothing. Then suddenly a girl name Anis approached me and asked me whether the top bunk of my bed is taken or not. I said no with a polite smile. She was wearing a long sleeves blue t-shirt with jeans. She also asked how old i am, sadly, she was disappointed with my answer because I'm older than her by two years. She smiled and continued what she was doing before. After a few minutes, another girl, Huda came towards me. She was wearing a long sleeve grey sweater-like shirt with a black trousers. We talked and then we realized that we're the same age. I was happy and we started to talk and talk and talk more. Then suddenly Anis joined us. We are suddenly clicked to each other. We became close that instant. Huda and I was very eager to search for more Form Four's because most of the girls in our dorm are kids. Suddenly Qila came in to the picture. She has this bright smile and I still remember she was wearing a very bright hot pink collar shirt with a stripy black trousers on the first day. The first thing that popped in my head was, woah! she's formal. Turned out she's actually just a simple girl like me, Anis and Huda. We also started to be close with Wahidah. Aw, she's such a dear. Around 3pm, we had our lunch together. I can't remember what it was. But it was adequate. That night we slept at 1am in the morning.

20th December 2010.
Anis woke me up at 4am in the morning, and later woke up the others as well. She told me to bath early before the toilet gets too crowded. Without saying anything I jump out of bed and start heading to the bathroom. The water was so cold! I was freezing to death. But it was okay. I managed to bath normally and take my own sweet time. After bathing, the girls and I talked until it was time to perform our solat Subuh. We had our breakfast at 7.30am in the morning and off to class at 8.30am. The first day of class was the best. I was excited and full of anticipations. As I expected, the classes went well throughout the day. We went back to our dorm at about 5.15pm after having some evening tea. During the night, we were separated to 11 groups. Unfortunately, none of me and the girls got to be in the same group except for Anis and Huda. Both of them got to be in the same group. Lucky them. But it's alright, I met a few more friends in my group. We called ourselves, Beetles. They were all so nice and sweet. Love to make funny but lame jokes. Lol. The session ended at 11pm. Back at the dorm, me and the girls had a little chit chat before going to sleep. And again, we slept at 1am in the morning.

21 December 2010.
Today, it was my turn to wake Anis up early in the morning. And because it was  my turn to wake her, we woke up slightly late. Lol. As usual, I bathed, pray, breakfast, and off to class. I also wished my best friend  Happy 16th Birthday. I got all of the girls wished him as well. We did get pissed off today when we didn't get our lunch because the food was finished. We were so hungry. So we went back to our dorm and I ate some food from my storage backpack. At night, the facilitator told us that each group have to make a performance for the Malam 1001 Kenangan. Poor Beetles, we had to make a commercial regarding the camp. We thought it was going to be easy. Not!

Me And India Heritage Sites!

I know it has been about 3 and a half weeks since I landed at the second most populated country in the world, India. So I think it's time for me to tell you all about it. In me recent post, I wrote about how poor some of the citizens in India that touches my heart deeply :-P I'm serious! And now, I'm going to tell about all the places that makes India, truly India.

As you all know, Taj Mahal is one of the famous Seven Wonders of the world. So, Taj Mahal is a must place to visit! We went to Taj Mahal during our second day in India. It took us about 5 to 6 hours to arrive to Agra ( the place where Taj Mahal is located ) from New Delhi. It was a tiring journey, not that I drove or anything. But sitting in the van for 5 hours really hurts my back.

The big gate with 8 domes before entering the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal in the evening.

My family and I arrived at Agra in the late evening. So the sky was near to sunset. The Taj Mahal is built by Shah Jahan as a present to his wife. The history regarding the Taj Mahal is very interesting. You should Wiki and read about it here.

Taj Mahal's.

Moving on, when I entered the Taj Mahal, it was dark, because they didn't have lights during the old days. So we have to  walk in there by using lights from our phones. The marble design in and out of the Taj Mahal is magnificent. It is so beautiful. No wonder it took them about 17 years to build it.

Fatehpur Sikri and I.

The third day during our visit to India, we went to Fatehpur Sikri, also located around Agra. This place is a palace where Shah Jahan's grandfather, Akbar lived. I find Fatehpur Sikri really amazing! I enjoyed every minute while I was touring the place. The tour guide showed us where Akbar and his wives used to eat, where he sleeps, where one of his wives used to cook for Akbar, and even where he played hide and seek with his slaves. The hide and seek part is unexpected. I know. The funny thing is, the tour guide insisted us that we play one hide and seek game. It was hilarious. I hide with my dad but we weren't the last one hiding. My brother-in-law won, but that's only because he was cheating. Lol.

We also went to the Red Fort. Okay, we didn't literally entered the place. We only took some pictures from the fence as you can see in the picture. The Red Fort was used as a military camp by the British before India achieved their independence in 1947. Too bad we didn't get the opportunity to really visit Red Fort.

Jama Masjid, New Delhi.

After spending 2 days and 1 night in Agra, we finally went back to New Delhi. That means another 5 hours in the van. Tiring, absolutely tiring. In New Delhi, we visited the Jama Masjid. This building is the oldest and the most best-known mosque in India. Jama Masjid is located at the India's own Petaling Street, Chawri Bazaar Road.

Chawri Bazar Road.

After bargaining a lot of sari cloths, we visited the Bahai House of Worship. The building has a shape of a Lotus flower. It's almost similar like the Sydney Opera House.

We didn't do much there. But my family and I did enjoy the beautiful scenery. They have this Alice in Wonderland-like tree. :)

My Saturday.

I watched Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollows Part 1 yesterday! Finally. I've been wanting to watch this movie since its first premier on the 18th of November 2010. The movie was great. I totally enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward for Part 2! I think this episode from the Harry Potter series is much more better compared to the last one which is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I can't even remember the plot of the movie.

After the movie, my mum and I decided to eat Taiwan food at AP. I ate glass noodle with beef ball. It was okay. I also bought a long sleeve with a turtle neck top from Diesel. :)
And the day couldn't get any better when I went out with my family for dinner at Monte's. Too bad my sister didn't join us. And guess what I ate? .... Nachos! I never thought I could get it this quick. It was great! Okay okay, so much for staying healthy. But I'll probably won't be getting anymore Nachos 'till next year. We went back late but I have to stay up to pack my things for this camp or something on Sunday. I'll be away for a week. So goodbye for now.

Pizza? Checked!

Finally! I got to eat pizzas from Dominos yesterday. I've been wanting to eat pizza since about three and a half months ago. LOL. My mum bought it for dinner. I didn't know there's no extra charges for delivery. Awesome! Anyway, mum bought two regular pizzas. One is Aloha Chicken and the other is Beef Pepperoni. The taste was incredible.

But the thing is, both pizzas contains 100% of Mozzarella cheese. That's a lot of fats. I got fat when I was like 9 years old because of that cheese. Nightmare!

Anyway, I had a very bad fever a week before going to India, and I was like dying for Mexican food, especially Nachos. I know, more cheese! I still remember I can't sleep at night because of headaches and hunger for Nachos. Psycho, I know. :D So now, I'll be looking forward to have Nachos for dinner. Don't know when. Probably next year. I'm cool with that. I have to cut down on those delicious junk food for me to stay healthy. :)

Finally out of the box.

After weeks of locking myself at home and talking to my pet fish (excluding the vacation in India), I finally went out with some friends to Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC).

I watched Narnia And The Voyage of The Dawn Treader! In 3D! It was okay. I gave the movie a 3.8/5 rating. :)  A waste of money for the extra price on the 3D tickets though.

I got to say the movie is not the same without Peter and Susan in the picture. Yea, they did appear in a few scenes but.... I think the mouse with the tiny cute sword had a wayyy bigger role in the movie this time. But who am I to complain, the story line of the movie is originally written in the Narnia book series. Oh yea, The Pevensies' cousin, Eustace annoys me during the first 30 minutes of the movie. Like seriously. :D Anyway, but I enjoyed every second of the movie. ♥

I ate Salmon Teriyaki from Sushi King for lunch. Gosh it was delicious, and also the price as well. But my favourite sushi on those coloured plates is Chuka Ika Sansai. The taste is weird but I like it. Okay, no more Sushi King for a while. :) Have to save more kaaa-chingg!

I am fortunate and I feel blessed.

As you guys know, I went to India last week. It was quite an experience. I'll tell all about it in my future post. Okay maybe not all, just partially. Only the ones that i remember. :D

India is the second country that is over populated after China. And because of that, they are a lot of extremely poor people there.

An Indian saleslittleman trying to sell postcards to my father. He doesn't even have shoes.

Believe it or not, those are actually their homes.

I felt like crying every time when beggars and all of those kids who sells stuff came close to me. The poor people in India will do anything to get money. There's this one dude with a dirty cotton bud stuck on his forehead at the Metro Subway train thing in New Delhi offered ears cleaning service to my sister  for Rs50 (50 Rupees). Okay, I got to admit, that's a pretty funny way to get money. SubhanaAllah, Awin, no. Ish! Anyway, back to my being fortunate story, I  just wish I could help them. If I'll be rich in the future I would love to travel to poor countries and help them. I sound like an angel, lol. But I am serious though. Anyway, the point is, we are like so fortunate because we have much more than what we need to be content.

We should really observe around us and be thankful for all that we have in this transitory lifetime.

Dramas during the holidays.

It's a school holiday here in Malaysia but it's at its end. I didn't do much though. I supposed to study for next year's exam, but..... I'll start studying the first thing when January starts. :D

Anyway, I watched a Japanese drama called Last Friends staring my favourite Japanese actor, Nishikido. He's so hot. The drama goes like this, Michiru's mother has brought a man back to their home and she is bullied at her workplace where she works as a beauty parlour assistant. She starts cohabiting with her boyfriend which is Nishikido Ryo, a good young man who works at the Child Welfare Division and the only person who can give her emotional support, but ends up the victim of domestic violence and becomes fearful of love ( scary though) . The boyishly charming Ruka was a classmate of Michiru's in junior high school. She has performed brilliantly as a motocross racer and aims to win the national championship, but as the story progresses, a deep worry that she can neither confide in her parents or close friends grows evident. Takeru is a hair and makeup artist acquainted with Ruka. He is a good confidant to females due to his kindness and perceptiveness, and finds himself attracted to Ruka but has a phobia of sex as a result of a past trauma. The three of them become house mates and through their associations with others, gain the capacity to be positive about life. Oh yea, this is probably the only drama I got all teary when the villain died. :D

  • Nagasawa Masami as Aida Michiru
  • Ueno Juri as Kishimoto Ruka
  • Eita as Mizushima Takeru
  • Nishikido Ryo as Oikawa Sosuke

And I absolutely love the soundtrack. Utada Hikaru - Prisoner of Love.

Vacation 2010 with family.

It's exactly 3.18am in the morning now. I am supposed to sleep hours ago because I'm going to India with family tomorrow. It's a 5 hours flight. Oooo guuurl, it's going to be tiring. Our departure will be around 4pm.

I can't wait for tomorrow to happen. A bit. Haha. Too bad my brother isn't going. He has a test to take. Bummer! I'm going to be away for 6 days though. :)

BTS of Creating This Blog

Okay I am probably one of the person who dislikes having a blog. You must be wondering, then why did I create an account in the first place. Here's the story.

My sister created a blogspot a few weeks ago. She's been addicted to it since. She made the blog to promote her online business. And because of that, she persuade me to have a blog of my own. I got to admit, her blog is kinda eye-catching. She will probably kembang after reading what i just typed and totally will brag about it. LOL. Anyway, yeah I'm trying my best here to think of an event for me to write in here. So people, you will be amazed! Nahhh, not now kot. Maybe later. :)

My sister and I.
